The entire mediaseva library in a box, playable on any TV. Mediaseva has compressed the content of every DVD offered on this web
site - over 1200 discs - into a small media player that connects to any
standard TV, just like a VCR or DVD player. A computer is required to
update the Collection with new Satsangs. Information about updates and
other details are at the bottom of this page.
DESCRIPTION & PRICING Each unit comes with a remote control, a factory owners manual and a
user's guide/catalog prepared by mediaseva. The Standard Collections come
with video and audio cables, ready to go. The video and audio content itself is free. The price reflects the cost of
the components - a small box containing a hard drive - plus packaging.
These prices may go up or down without notice. There are four options available: 1. STANDARD COMPLETE TV Collection - $240 click here. This unit (TVisto 3500) contains a 750gB hard disk which stores the content of every DVD offered by mediaseva, with both English and Spanish translations. It also includes over 190 new MP3 (audio only) Talks by Master Kirpal Singh Ji, plus bhajans, photos and publications. This unit comes with video and audio cables, ready to hook up. 2. STANDARD TV Collection in SPANISH - $210 click here. Same as above but with a smaller 500gB hard disk which stores ONLY the contents of DVDs that include Spanish translation, in addition to bhajans, photos and publications. This version has similar spare capacity to the Standard unit, and it comes with video and audio cables, ready to hook up. Upgrade cable for Standard TV Collections - $20 If you have a High Definition TV with a three-wire component video connection, the TVisto 3500 media player used for the Standard TV Collections is equipped to improve the quality of the image. For this, you need an upgrade component output cable, bought separately for $20. Though the image is not a true High Definition image, colors are noticeably more accurate and the picture is clearer. Please note that your TV must have a component input available, otherwise this cable will not work. If you want to be able to play true High Definition videos, see below. 3. HIGH-DEF COMPLETE TV Collection - $465 click here. Background: Since April of 2007, mediaseva has recorded three India programs in High-Definition (1080P) video. The quality is noticeably better than DVD, but requires a 6500A player, which can handle higher quality HD video. This HD program material looks best on a widescreen monitor or High-Def TV capable of playing 720P, 1080i or 1080P video. You can connect this 6500A unit to a standard TV with no problem, and it will still display the HD content, but the image will not be as clear as it is on a High-Def TV. The High-Def unit (6500A) has a 750 gB drive that stores all the content of the standard version, plus all the HD videos. It has distinct advantages unavailable in the Standard Tvisto unit, for example:
If your Satsang plans to purchase a high quality TV, we recommend this unit. It is not likely that all upcoming programs will be recorded in HD, but we hope to record as many as possible this way. The 6500A player is slightly noisier than the Tvisto. This is only apparent if the room is very quiet and no video is playing. You can turn the unit on and off using the remote control. The 6500A does not come with video and audio cables, because it has four different video outputs to choose from. Cables are available at consumer electronics stores like Radio Shack, Best Buy and Circuit City. 4. HIGH-DEF TV Collection in SPANISH - $435 click here. The same HD unit just described, but with a 500 gB hard disk which stores ONLY the contents of DVDs that include Spanish translation, in addition to bhajans, photos and publications. "DO IT YOURSELF" OPTION If you just want to play this collection on a computer, if you are handy with computers and can configure your own a 750 gB USB hard drive, we will be happy to load the data. Email mediaseva for more info. WARRANTY INFORMATION Our suppliers offer a thirty-day replacement policy. If we find defects when we test the components, we will contact the supplier to remedy the problem quickly. After 30 days, however, when the components are covered by their manufacturer's warranties, mediaseva does not have the capability to make repairs and/or handle warranty claims. Each manufacturer's warranty documentation will be provided with your unit. To make a warranty claim, you need to contact the manufacturer directly and ship either the player or the hard drive to them. If your hard disk fails and the manufacturer replaces it, we will be happy to reload your new drive for only the cost of shipping it back to you. We do not plan to make updates available online. OPERATION WITH A TV The TV Collection player works more like a VHS tape player than a DVD
player. There are no menus or chapters for each video. When you select a
video to play, it starts from the beginning and plays through to the end,
and you can fast-forward, rewind, pause and stop, just as a VCR does.
However, since there is no tape, the player will not automatically
remember where you stop playing a video. OPERATION WITH A COMPUTER You can also view the videos on your computer, since the player
contains a hard disk with a common USB computer connection. Many people
have laptops, so this can be handy if you are away from home or if you
don't have a larger TV. A computer also allows you to search through all the scanned
publications included in the unit. These PDF files cannot be viewed on
your TV. If you want to view the High Definition Satsangs on your
computer, it must be a fast machine with a dual-core processor, otherwise
the video will not play smoothly. COMPATIBILITY The files are encoded to the US NTSC TV standard, just like the DVDs.
Since most European TVs will play NTSC content as well as the European PAL
standard, there should be no problem with compatibility, unless the PAL TV
is very old. All units offer both composite and S-Video signals for your TV. These
are world-wide standards, so there should be no connection problems.
People with HD TVs can take advantage of the higher quality available from
analog (component) or digital (SDI video) connections.
